Sheffield – The Full Monty?

The Sheffield area offers a number of attractions, although most people would probably agree that the city centre is nothing much! Made famous by derelict steel mills and men taking their clothes off Sheffield is perhaps best known for Meadowhall, a huge shopper’s paradise just off the M1.

Whether your interests lie in industrial or cultural heritage there’s much to discover. Internationally renowned stately homes, such as Chatsworth and Hardwick Hall, and industrial heritage sites of world importance offer fascinating reminders of the past. Sporting facilities cannot be faulted as the city now has Europe’s largest all-season ski resort, an Olympic size swimming pool, choice of golf courses, and a skating rink.

One of the best things about Sheffield is that a third of the city falls within the boundary of the Peak National Park, making it a good location for living in beautiful countryside yet commute into the centre of the city with ease.
