FEEDBACK
- Ideally need your date of birth, marital status and nationality in first section but of course all optional.
- remove “pending offer of placement” – not entirely sure what this means.
- Need to include your degree classification when you get it. Make sure you get the right name for your degree – usually written as LLB (Hons) not Bachelor of Law. May also be worth explaining that this is part time.
- July 2015 Legal Drafting Skills Course – this is not the Professional Skills Course presumably? you cannot do the PSC until you have done the LPC.
- GCSES and A Levels – serious issue here – a lot of firms benchmark using these and you dont have any A levels and your GCSE’s are not good. Did you only get 5 GCSE’s? If you got C or above for English and Maths you could change the way you put this down – ie GCSEs including Maths and English at grades C or above.
- Probably also need to indicate if GNVQ is equivalent to A levels at all – if yes how many.
- Work experience – need to indicate exactly who the employer is for your current role and give a job title. Are you randomly mediating or is this via an organisation?
- COMPANY NAME Legal Solution Limited – what is this – your own company or one you are working for? Ditto with FIRM OF Solicitors – what is your job title, are you working full time and if not how many hours? What fields of law do you cover, how many files etc.. etc.. lots of info needed on this particular post.
- Keep the non-legal roles to an absolute minimum – you dont need much info on these.
- Apart from this your CV isnt too bad – lots of information on our website about the detail you need to include in your work experience section. Lots more needed for your solicitor experience.
